If we had been available earlier in the day it would have been less than 24 hours between when they made the mistake and when they fully rectified it. I'm very pleasantly surprised. Back up to four stars. Also it seems the battery problem was unrelated. Anyway, I really appreciate that they went above and beyond to make things right. 2nd Update: (see below for background). Down to one star. The alternative location was at last able to look at the car and found that Auto Glass Ottawa cut a wire linking the camera to the windshield, which is what created the problem with the collision detection system and may also be draining the battery as a result of the faulty connection. The Uniglass location on Slate is seeing if they have a part to replace it, otherwise they will try to splice the wires together. So not only am I now entering hour five (today!) of trying to get a simple windshield replacement, but they damaged our car in the process. While I certainly can't recommend going to Speedy Glass (see below) I also can't recommend Auto Glass. This is absurd. Update: at first I was really pleased and wrote the below review. They offered me a $15 discount to write it so I finished the review right there in the waiting room once they said my car was nearly ready. Unfortunately, when I got in my car, there was an error saying the collision detection system was not functioning. I asked if they could address that, please. Apparently, no, they can't. They said I would need to take it to another location at 50 Slater. I went there immediately... three hours later, I'm still there, waiting. I understand they were not expecting me here so they're doing their best, but what I don't understand is why the Bank Street location took my appointment and my money knowing they couldn't replace my windshield and recalibrate the system properly. TBD if the Slater Street location can. Original review: Auto Glass Ottawa was professional, efficient, easy to schedule, and fast. Before coming here we tried 3 times to get the windshield replaced at another place (speedy glass) and they were never on time, never had the right glass, let us wait three hours while it was "being replaced" only to tell us they couldn't do it, etc. It was an absolute mess. At Auto Glass Ottawa we made an appointment for the next day, came in, they had the right glass and the right staff, they processed the insurance, and it was done right when they said it would be.
